Phenol / Phenolics Alkylation Technology Applications

The product manufactured by phenol alkylation technology are mainly applied in the fields given as below:  
1. tert-butyl phenol: (1) 4-tert-butylphenol, it is an important raw material for phenolic formaldehyde resin; (2) 2,4-dibutylphenol, it is mainly used to produce anti-oxidant 168, 300, 3114, polymerization inhibitor, activator 460, polymerization initiator TBCP, light stabilizer, ultraviolet absorber; (3) 2,6-dibutyl phenol is mainly used to manufacture anti-oxidant 1010, 1076, 1098, 300, 330, 3114, 4426 and 702; (4)2-butyl phenol is also used to synthesize anti-oxidant;  (5) 2,6-tertbutyl p-cresol, also called as antiager 264, antioxidant 200, antioxidant-antigelling agent T501; (6) butyl-1,2-benzenediol as anti-oxidant
2. nonyl phenol: as the raw material for  phenolic formaldehyde resin, also be used to manufacture non-ionic surface active agent
3. dodecylphenol: as the lubricant for ship, and as the component of multipurpose oil with anti-oxidant, anti-corrosion, and anti-sediment properties
4. octyl phenol: as the raw material for oil soluble phenolic formaldehyde and non-ionic surface active agent 5. methyl phenol: mainly as the anti-oxidants, and medicine/agriculture chemicals intermediate
6. 2,6-dimethyl phenol: as the important raw material for the production of engineering plastic PPE or PPO
