1,3-dioxane Preparation Process

The traditional 1,3-dioxetane production process, get the products from paraformaldehyde and ethylene glycol reaction. Paraformaldehyde and ethylene glycol were fed into a reaction kettle at a molar ratio of 1: 1.25, and subjected to atmospheric pressure reaction at 90 to 110°C with a strong acid macroporous cation exchange resin as a catalyst. Then, 70 to 74℃ azeotropes were distilled off from the top of the distillation column, after salting out and dehydrated over anhydrous calcium chloride, followed by distillation and purification, extract 71 ~ 74℃ fractions, make the water off to 200 ppm with molecular sieve, we can get the product.
