Application of Urea Formaldehyde (UF) Glue

The polymer obtained by reacting urea with formaldehyde is known as urea formaldehyde glue, referred to as UF. Urea and 37% formaldehyde aqueous solution in the acid or alkali catalyzed can be polycondensation of linear urea-formaldehyde oligomers, the industry to alkali as a catalyst, to ensure that the resin can be cured. The first reaction produces mono- and dimethylol urea, and then the hydroxymethyl group is further condensed with the amino group to give a soluble resin which, if catalyzed by acid, easily results in a gel.
The product must be stored under neutral conditions. Linear urea-formaldehyde resin to ammonium chloride as a curing agent can be cured at room temperature. Urea-formaldehyde resin is mainly used in the manufacture of molded plastic, the manufacture of daily necessities and electrical parts, but also for sheet adhesives, paper and fabric slurries, Tiemian Ban, architectural decorative panels. Because of its light and easy to color, products are often rich and magnificent color.
